Clemens Mensink earned his PhD in electrical engineering at the University of Twente in 1996. Thereafter, he worked for Philips Semiconductors as a chip design engineer for analog television. A couple of years later, he joined Ericsson as a project manager responsible for a Bluetooth transceiver. In 2000, Mensink was asked to start up a facility for Agere Systems, market leader in Wi-Fi chip sets. In 2007, after three years at Bruco, he started the chip design company Axiom IC with a few others, acquired by Teledyne Dalsa in 2013. As from April 2017, he’s heading the new Ansem design center in Enschede.
